Allt nan Dearc landscape

Allt nan Dearc No. 1 – In this spectacular view from the southwest atop Sgorr Mhór, the burn can be seen slicing down towards the sea along the edges of the cloud shadow in the centre of the image.  The area cloaked by shadow is known as An Earr, while the sunlit hillslope beyond is the Uirigh Ghlas.  Finally, in the extreme distance may be seen the Isle of Scarba and with, extraordinarily, a calm western sea approach to the Gulf of Corryvreckan.
