Carn Ban 2 No. 1 – A view across the landscape specified by Ordnance Survey maps as belonging to the place name Carn Bàn towards the east and the Sound of Jura. This place name occurs again some 500 metres northeast of this point and across Jura’s lone single-track road. This may indicate that in addition to an actual commemerative monument a settlement might have also been located here as there are some indications of possible ruins in the field shown above.
