Geodh Uamh an Spardain - Cove (of the) cave (of the) roost.  6875 0085

Geodh Uamh an Spardain landscape No. 3 - The small area of water between the rocky islet of Eilean Beag, left of centre in the image, and the end of the Na Rubhachan Donna on the Isle of Jura is the cove of water referred to by the place name.  The cove is the last spot of relatively calm water before the maelstrom of the Gulf of Corryvreckan.  In this view from the northeast, An Cruachan can be seen towering over the strengthening waters of the Corrievreckan as the slack tide period falls away.
